Dark Store Supervisor
Description

The Dark Store Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient functioning of the dark store warehouse operations. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, optimizing processes, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities
  1. Operational Oversight: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the warehouse team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations from receiving to dispatch.
  2. Resource Management: Plan and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and space, to meet operational requirements and achieve productivity targets.
  3. Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve warehouse processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, minimize costs, and maximize throughput.
  4. Inventory Management: Implement robust inventory control measures, including cycle counting, stock replenishment, and SKU rationalization, to maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  5. Order Fulfillment: Monitor order processing activities, prioritize orders based on urgency, and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  6. Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards for inbound and outbound shipments, conduct regular quality inspections, and address any non-conformances promptly.
  7. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff, and implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  8. Vendor Management: Liaise with suppliers and vendors to coordinate inbound deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  9. Performance Tracking: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance dashboards to track warehouse performance metrics, such as productivity, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  10. Team Development: Mentor and coach warehouse supervisors and staff, provide training on new processes and technologies, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

- Proven experience in warehouse management or operations management roles, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.

- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
