HSE Manager
Description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our health, safety, and environmental programs across all dark store locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a culture of safety and ensuring full compliance with all applicable local regulations and company policies. This role is essential in promoting a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Design and set efficient HSE processes for smoother operations. Continuously review and revise existing procedures in response to operational challenges and regulatory changes.
  • Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety standards, policies, and procedures in line with local and international regulations. Drive continuous improvement in workplace safety performance.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure that the organization meets all environmental laws and standards. Monitor waste management, emissions, and other environmental impacts.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop, implement, and test emergency response plans. Train staff and coordinate drills to ensure readiness for various emergency scenarios.
  • Hazard Identification & Mitigation: Lead regular risk assessments to identify hazards in the workplace. Implement corrective actions to eliminate or control risks effectively.
  • Safety Training: Design and deliver safety and environmental training programs for all levels of staff. Promote awareness and skill development to support a strong safety culture.
  • Fire Safety Oversight: Ensure all fire safety systems are in place and functional, including clear and accessible fire exits, operational fire extinguishers, alarms, sprinkler systems, and proper signage. Conduct routine inspections and coordinate with local fire authorities as needed.
  • Incident Reporting & Filing: Investigate and report on all safety-related incidents. Maintain detailed records and ensure timely and accurate documentation and follow-up.
  • Safety Culture Development: Foster a positive safety culture through leadership, engagement, and clear communication. Encourage employee involvement and accountability.
  • Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across all darkstore locations. Identify gaps and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Employee Engagement: Measure and promote employee participation in safety and environmental programs. Encourage feedback and recognize active involvement.
Qualifications

Certified in HSE Management systems (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
Minimum of  5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to drive change and improve safety performance
